The Miami Workers Center (MWC) builds the power and influence of low-income, Black, Brown, and Latina women and femmes to advance its Femme Agenda, end the feminization of poverty, and confront structural, institutional, and interpersonal violence. As a frontline strategy and action center, MWC builds power through strengthening its feminist leadership, continued base building, and leading intersectional campaigns for structural change. MWC is meeting the immediate needs of survivor-leaders who continue to experience the fall out of the global pandemic, while bolstering its Women’s Circles that encourage radical self-care and healing. It will expand its Femme Agenda platform to center Black women’s experiences of abuse, discrimination, and harassment in all of its policy campaigns.
